The Folklore Museum is located in the neightbarhood of Varosi. Build in 1932 the Folklore Museum is a donation of the Sivena family. Visitors of the Museum have the great opportunity to learn about the everyday life of the people of the city of Edessa, the customs, the culture of Edessa and of course the extended area during the previous century.

Visitors can observe an exceptional collection of representative men and women traditional costumes from the 1880- 1920, from the city of Edessa and the villages and also local Vlach, Macedonian and from Greek refuges from Ponto and Minor Asia.

Other important exhibits of the Museum are: the section with the tools of domestic use, children toys, and also from tools from traditional Greek professions. Finally in the Museum there is a very important collection of rare ecclesiastic and educational books, with the oldest one to be a book of an Old Testament from 1753.
